WHAT IF JOKES ARE MORE THAN
JUST JOKES?

We scroll.

We laugh.

We share.

We move on.

But the things we repeat can become the things we believe in.

FemRise brings voices from Romania, Portugal, Lebanon, Tunisia, Jordan and Egypt together to question the jokes, stereotypes and narratives that shape how we see feminism and equality.

Because what we normalise today can shape tomorrow.

QUESTION WHAT YOU CONSUME AND SHARE.
CHANGE THE CONVERSATION.

FEMINISM. WITHOUT THE FILTER.

Feminism is often reduced to stereotypes: too radical, too emotional, anti-men, unnecessary.

These ideas don't exist only online. They travel through memes, entertainment, conversations, influencers and everyday culture - shaping how people understand equality, women's rights and whose voices deserve to be heard.

FemRise challenges these narratives by starting a different kind of conversation.

Across six countries, young people, activists and communities are coming together through storytelling, creative digital content and real experiences to question what we see, what we laugh at, and what we accept.

Not to tell people what to think, but to get people thinking.

SIX COUNTRIES.

ONE CONVERSATION.

Romania · Portugal · Lebanon · Tunisia · Jordan · Egypt

FROM A JOKE TO A QUESTION.

What looks harmless can shape attitudes, what gets repeated can start to feel normal and what feels normal can influence how we treat one another.

So let's pause, question, challenge, and make room for something better.
